As valued members of our veterinary medical team, our skilled veterinary technicians are responsible for a wide variety of tasks including (but not limited to):
placing IV catheters, drawing blood, and running bloodwork handling and restraining animals filling and preparing prescriptions assisting with surgery prep and anesthesia monitoring administering subQ fluids and IM injections performing in-house laboratory tests positioning, taking, and developing radiographs OUR IDEAL APPLICANT You are someone who:
is proficient at and confident in their technician skills.
enjoys speaking with and educating clients regarding preventative pet care.
works well under any conditions and is calm under pressure.
is compassionate and caring towards our pet patients and clients.
can juggle multiple tasks at the same time and enjoys learning.
has multiple years of veterinary technician experience.

Since our Dundee location is a 24-hour emergency hospital, we are open 24/7, 365 days a year, including holidays.
All staff are required to work 2-3 holiday shifts per year (holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).
Do you have any issues working 2-3 holiday shifts? What is your desired hourly pay rate? This position includes a shift every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday shifts on the same weekend)- would that be an issue for you?
